Girls Who Game – IRL: Participant Intake Form

At Girls Who Game – IRL, we prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all participants feel comfortable, connected, and engaged. To ensure a positive group dynamic and promote meaningful social interactions, we carefully consider each participant's interests, social preferences, and communication styles when forming groups.

As part of our intake process, we review each participant's intake form to assess overall compatibility and alignment with the current group. If we believe your teen would be a good fit with the existing group members, we will move forward with a brief introductory step. If we need more information, the BCBA or BCaBA leading the group will give you a call.

Next Step: Meet & Greet Call

To help ease the transition and build initial rapport, our group facilitator, Emily, will schedule a 15-minute introductory call with your teen. This informal conversation is an opportunity for Emily to:

  • Introduce herself to your teen in a low-pressure, friendly way

  • Get a sense of your teen’s personality and interests

  • Begin creating a safe and welcoming connection before the first session

We find that this step helps reduce anxiety, improves comfort levels, and sets the tone for a successful group experience.

Once the meet-and-greet call is complete and your teen is interested in pursuing attending the group, we will proceed with final registration, payment (AFU or private), and onboarding.

If you have any questions about this process, feel free to reach out at any time.
